Mars Station & Caboose

Location Details

ADDRESS: Irvine Street and Brickyard Road
Mars, PA 16046

Description

Mars Station, built in 1897 as a Trolley Depot, has been beautifully restored thanks to the Mars Historical Society, which collects and preserves artifacts from the town’s history along with railroading and trolley memorabilia. Across the tracks from the Station stands the Caboose, another of the Society’s restoration projects. Together these two historical sites celebrate the commercial center that Mars became during the region’s railroading era. Visitors can park nearby on Marshal Way, past the hardware store on the left.
